Road Trip

Ely. My fall trip. Ten hours of driving for a four hour meeting.

Austin, Eureka, Ely; its like driving into the past. The places all look like they had their best days many years ago. It's interesting how much they all feel like towns I remember from childhood trips to the Applachian Mountains. Mining towns.

Lots of churches, but almost all of them seem deserted. This one is about half pink.

you need to send me instructions on posting more than one photo.

i like the feeling of those places.. although they always have that tinge of sadness..

i hate to go piggybacking on the previous post, but it would be spectacular to know how you do that multi picture fancy post thing. And, Ely and Eureka and Pinoche- places over there on the east side of the state always seem timeless to me. Like they are stuck in amber, even if evidence to the contrary is present- like new cars or fancy buildings. The mood- the aura, always seems as though time has stopped.

multiple pics:

if using flickr, click on the picture you want to insert, then click on the size you want to display, directly above the pic. then below the picture, you will see a box called " Copy and paste this HTML into your webpage:" Copy and paste this into your post, wherever you want. Repeat for multiple pics.

And for BB, let's plan like a week's worth of driving, hiking, fishing, picture taking thing for sometime, in the eastern nevadan reaches. I imagine summertime would be best. We can hit these spots, Jarbidge, Jackpot, etc. Need to expand my N. Nevadan experience. And you are in on this too, Morsa, you too, Peppermint, and you as well Transplant, if you can get out here.
