Area farm's celery is stalk of town: "A leading U.S. vegetable grower has spent 15 years developing a variety of celery that grows with hollow stalks. The tube-like celery can then be dropped into your favorite drink to help bring the liquid to your eager throat. U.S. Department of Agriculture scientists say it's the only plant-breeding instance they know in which food has been grown to be used as a tool."
